Disney Lorcana Hyperia City Preview: Musical Glimmers and Grading Targets
Disney Lorcana Set 14 is Hyperia City, releasing October 16, 2026. Ravensburger announced it September 22, putting Powerline and A Goofy Movie at the center of the card game for the first time and introducing Musical Glimmers as a new mechanic. Pixar's Coco also joins the ink pool with this set. As of September 24, the Lorcast spoiler database shows 51 confirmed cards including 6 Legendary cards. The Enchanted, Epic, and Iconic tiers that drive collector value have not been fully revealed yet.
That last point is the most important thing to know right now. The Enchanted and Iconic cards are what serious graders are tracking. They are not in the current spoiler list. Everything below is built on the confirmed facts from this run and on projections clearly labeled as projections, using real price data from our catalog.
What Hyperia City Is
Set 14 follows Attack of the Vine (Set 13, July 17, 2026) and Wilds Unknown (Set 12, May 8, 2026). The official set description calls it "metro meets the fantastical," which tracks with the lineup: Powerline's concert stage, Tiana's New Orleans jazz world, Shere Khan recast as a corporate executive. Music runs through the set as a unifying theme.
Musical Glimmers appears to be a new character subtype or synergy keyword centered on Singer abilities and song-card interactions. Powerline carries Singer 9 and gains lore for every other Singer in play. Max Goof lets you discard a song to draw 2 cards. Aurora returns low-cost songs from discard to hand. The 6 confirmed Legendaries skew toward song-loop mechanics in every ink except Steel, which goes a different direction with Shere Khan and Tiana on board management and location play.
The Coco roster has not been confirmed at the card level yet. Coco is the first Pixar film to feature a fully original score as its central mechanic within the game, which makes Miguel and Hector Rivera the obvious Musical Glimmer candidates once full reveals arrive.
The 6 Confirmed Legendary Cards
Powerline leads the current spoiler list with Singer 9, followed by two other Amber and one Emerald Legendary built around song-loop play. All 6 are official reveals as of September 24; mechanics are subject to final card text once the set goes live.
| Card | Ink | Cost | Key abilities |
|---|---|---|---|
| Powerline, Megastar | Amber | 6 | Singer 9; returns Singer cards from discard when playing songs; +1 lore per other Singer in play |
| Aurora, Delightful Musician | Amber | 3 | Returns songs costing 3 or less from discard to hand; gains 1 lore when a song is played |
| Max Goof, Karaoke Star | Emerald | 3 | Discard a song to draw 2 cards; gains +3 lore with 5 or more songs in discard |
| Madam Mim, Resourceful Trickster | Amethyst | 8 | Draws 2 cards on play via ink drop; draws a card whenever an ink drop is removed |
| Tiana, Party Hostess | Steel | 7 (Shift 5) | Draws 2 cards on play; may play a location from discard for free |
| Shere Khan, Khan Industries CEO | Steel | 4 | Characters may challenge ready characters; generates ink drops when your characters banish opponents |
Cost 3 Legendaries (Aurora and Max Goof) are notable for competitive play since they come down early. Powerline at cost 6 with Singer 9 is a late-game engine. None of these are pure collector trophy cards in the way Enchanteds and Iconics are, and that has a direct bearing on grading decisions below.
Why Skip Grading Legendary Cards
CGC Bulk at $17 per card is the cheapest open grading tier in 2026. Most Lorcana Legendaries trade between $5 and $15 raw, which means the submission cost equals or exceeds the card's value before any grade-dependent premium enters the calculation.
Legendary cards in Lorcana trade between $5 and $20 raw at typical retail pricing. CGC Bulk costs $17 per card with a 150-working-day turnaround, which is the cheapest open submission tier as of our August 2026 grading guide. At $17 submission cost, a Legendary that grades a CGC 10 and sells for $25 graded nets you $8 before shipping and fees, assuming a buyer exists at that price. A PSA Regular at $79.99 per card requires a graded Legendary to clear $100 before a single dollar of profit, which is not where the Legendary market sits for any Lorcana card without extraordinary conditions.
Powerline is the one card to watch for an exception. A Goofy Movie carries strong adult nostalgia from its 1995 release, and Powerline specifically is the kind of IP cult-favorite that commands premiums beyond raw gameplay value. If the raw market price on Powerline Legendary clears $30 to $40 at release, CGC Bulk math starts to work.

What the Enchanted and Iconic Tiers Should Look Like
These are projections based on price data from our catalog, pulled September 24, 2026. Actual Hyperia City Enchanted and Iconic prices will depend on pull rates, set supply, and the specific IP on each card.
Lorcana's Enchanted tier has traded between roughly $40 and $240 across recent sets depending on IP and print quality. Our catalog shows the current market on two Wilds Unknown Enchanteds: Jack-Jack Parr, Incredible Potential at $102.92 and Syndrome, Out for Revenge at $112.42. Fabled's highest Enchanted, Max Goof, Chart Topper, sits at $236.62. These are real sales prices, not asks.
Iconic cards are a different conversation. Wilds Unknown's Merida, Formidable Archer currently trades at $1,844.18 in our catalog, the most expensive Lorcana card in active community scans. Iconics are only 2 per set. A Hyperia City Iconic built around Miguel from Coco or Powerline from A Goofy Movie would sit in the same tier: projected $800 to $1,500 at release stabilization, driven by IP nostalgia and the Iconic tier's scarcity.
The grading case for Enchanted and Iconic cards is clear. A $112 Enchanted that holds a CGC 10 can return two to three times raw value in a strong market. A $1,800 Iconic is worth every cent of a PSA Regular submission at $79.99. The decision tree for these two tiers is straightforward in a way that Legendary gameplay cards are not.
Grading Risks Before You See the Cards
Two risks apply to Hyperia City before the full card list drops.
First: Musical Glimmers foil treatment. We do not know yet what the foil type will be on Enchanted and Iconic cards. Wilds Unknown's Lore Nouveau Enchanteds use dense linework that grades harder than the painterly style of earlier sets, as our Wilds Unknown chase guide documented with measured PSA 10 rates. If Musical Glimmers carry a new metallic or holographic foil type, the surface risk profile changes and the early CGC population data will matter before bulk submissions make sense.
Second: dark versus light art palettes. Coco's visual palette runs deep teals and warm golds against dark backgrounds. Dark backgrounds show micro-print lines more clearly than light ones, the reason dark-art cards run lower PSA 10 rates across games. Watch the first community grades closely before sending a case of Coco Enchanteds.
When to Pull the Trigger on Submissions
Wait. Full spoilers arrive between now and the October 16 prerelease. Watch for:
- Which IP lands on the 2 Iconic cards (typically the most coveted pull in the set)
- Whether Musical Glimmers produces a new foil treatment or uses existing Enchanted-style finishes
- The Coco character lineup and their cards' art palette
Once the full card list is public, run your potential submissions through is my card worth grading with the actual raw price. Do not assume Hyperia City follows the same pricing curve as Wilds Unknown just because they are adjacent sets. Attack of the Vine (Set 13, July 17) launched with the highest opening-week prices the game had seen, and prices settled. Wilds Unknown's Iconics went the opposite direction and kept climbing months later.

Frequently Asked Questions
When does Disney Lorcana Hyperia City release?
October 16, 2026 for wide retail. Most Lorcana sets also run a local game store prerelease the week before, which would put a prerelease event around October 9 to 10. The official announcement came September 22, 2026, with full card reveals ongoing through early October.
What is Musical Glimmers in Lorcana?
Musical Glimmers appears to be a new character subtype or mechanic keyword in Hyperia City tied to Singer abilities and song-card synergies. The 6 confirmed Legendary cards show a consistent pattern: characters with abilities that trigger when songs are played, returned from discard, or used in loops. Powerline, Karaoke Star Max Goof, and Aurora are the clearest Musical Glimmer representatives in the current spoiler list.
What Coco characters are in Hyperia City?
As of September 24, 2026, the specific Coco characters in Hyperia City have not been officially confirmed at the card level. Ravensburger announced Coco as a featured IP for the set. Miguel and Hector Rivera are the obvious candidates given the musical theme.
How much will Enchanted cards be worth in Hyperia City?
Current Enchanted prices in active Lorcana sets run from roughly $100 to $240 for popular IP, based on our catalog data pulled September 24. Wilds Unknown Enchanteds trade at $102 to $112. Fabled's highest Enchanted sits at $236.62. Hyperia City Enchanteds should land in the $80 to $200 range at release stabilization, with the Coco cards on the higher end if IP demand holds. These are projections, not prices.
Are Legendary cards from Hyperia City worth grading?
For most of them, no. Legendary cards in Lorcana trade between $5 and $20 raw. CGC Bulk at $17 per card means you are paying submission cost equal to or greater than the card's raw value before any grade-dependent premium. Powerline, Megastar is the exception to monitor, with A Goofy Movie nostalgia potentially pushing raw prices above the $30 threshold where CGC Bulk math starts working.
What is the best grading service for Lorcana cards?
CGC is the most cost-effective option for modern Lorcana cards in 2026. CGC Bulk runs $17 per card and CGC 10 labels on Lorcana sell within 80% to 90% of PSA 10 value on modern sets, per our PSA vs BGS vs CGC comparison. PSA Regular at $79.99 is only justified on Iconic-tier cards where the graded premium easily clears $80 in upside. Submit Enchanteds to CGC; submit Iconics to PSA.
