Community Guidelines

Last updated: June 24, 2026

Overview

ZeroPop is built for collectors. Our social features - public collector profiles, usernames, following, showcases, the following feed, and the public Explore feed - are meant to help you share your collection and connect with other collectors. These Community Guidelines explain what is and is not allowed when you use those features.

These Guidelines are part of, and incorporated by reference into, our Terms of Service. Your use of ZeroPop is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Where these Guidelines and the Terms of Service conflict, the Terms of Service control. Capitalized terms have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.

The Social Features Are Optional

You can use ZeroPop's scanning, grading, and collection tools without ever creating a public profile or following anyone. You only appear in the social experience after you choose a username and publish a profile. Remember that a public profile is public by design: your username, display name, avatar, badges, aggregate collection statistics, follower and following counts, and the cards you showcase are visible to other users and discoverable through user search. Your estimated collection value stays hidden unless you choose to display it. Don't publish anything you are not comfortable making public.

Be a Good Collector

We expect everyone in the ZeroPop community to:

  • Treat other collectors with respect.
  • Showcase only cards and content you have the right to share.
  • Represent yourself honestly through your username, display name, and avatar.
  • Use blocking and reporting tools instead of escalating conflicts.
  • Respect that ZeroPop's grades and values are estimates, not facts.

What Is Not Allowed

The following are prohibited anywhere the social features appear, including usernames, display names, avatars, showcases, notifications, and feeds:

Harassment & abuse

  • Harassing, bullying, threatening, intimidating, or stalking other users.
  • Hate speech or attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
  • Encouraging or coordinating harassment of, or piling on, another user.
  • Defaming or knowingly spreading false statements about another user.

Identity & impersonation

  • Impersonating another person, collector, business, or ZeroPop staff.
  • Falsely implying affiliation with or endorsement by any person or brand.
  • Using a username, display name, or avatar that is deceptive or misleading.

Harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content

  • Sexually explicit, violent, gory, or otherwise objectionable imagery or text.
  • Content that is unlawful, promotes illegal activity, or facilitates fraud.
  • Content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
  • Posting another person's private or identifying information without consent.
  • Any content that sexualizes or endangers minors - this is never tolerated and is reported to the appropriate authorities.

Spam & manipulation

  • Spamming, unsolicited solicitation, advertising, or scams directed at other users.
  • Artificially inflating followers, badges, or other metrics, or using bots or automation.
  • Buying, selling, transferring, trading, or hoarding usernames.
  • Scraping or compiling other users' profiles, follower lists, or showcased content except through the app's intended features.

Off-platform conduct & transactions

  • ZeroPop is not a marketplace. We do not facilitate, broker, or guarantee any sale, trade, or payment between users. If you choose to transact with someone you meet through ZeroPop, you do so entirely at your own risk and outside of ZeroPop.

Blocking & Reporting

If another user is bothering you or breaking these Guidelines, you have tools to protect yourself:

  • Block - blocking a user hides your profile and cards from them and theirs from you, and automatically removes any follow relationship between you. The blocked user is not told that you blocked them.
  • Report - reporting a profile or piece of content sends it to our moderation team for review. You can report for reasons such as harassment, impersonation, spam, or inappropriate content. Reports are confidential and are not shown to the user you report.

You can also email support@zeropop.zendesk.com for safety concerns that the in-app tools don't cover.

Enforcement

We review reports and other signals and take action at our discretion. Depending on the severity and history of the violation, we may:

  • Remove or hide a profile, username, avatar, showcase, or other content.
  • Reset or reclaim a username.
  • Restrict or remove access to the social features.
  • Issue a warning.
  • Suspend or permanently ban the account.

Bans are governed by the "Content Moderation & Banning" section of our Terms of Service, including the effect on paid features, billing, data retention, and appeals. We do not guarantee any particular response time or outcome, and we are not responsible for the conduct of other users. You interact with other users at your own risk.

Younger Collectors

You must be at least 13 to use ZeroPop, and the social features are intended for users who meet the age requirements in our Terms of Service. If you are between 13 and 18, use the social features only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, and avoid publishing a profile photo or other details that could identify you to strangers. We encourage parents and guardians to review the available privacy controls - including not creating a public profile and keeping collection value hidden - with younger collectors.

Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of ZeroPop's social features after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Guidelines.
