Terms of Service

Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using ZeroPop, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Subscription Terms. Together, these documents constitute the entire agreement between you and Hanlon Digital LLC regarding your use of ZeroPop. If you do not agree, do not use ZeroPop.

Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use ZeroPop. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using ZeroPop, you represent that you meet these requirements.

What ZeroPop Does

ZeroPop is a trading card grading scanner application. It uses automated analysis to evaluate the physical condition of trading cards from photographs you capture. ZeroPop produces estimated grades, sub-grades, centering ratios, defect maps, and cross-standard grade predictions. These are automated estimates, not professional grading opinions.

ALL DATA IS A BEST GUESS

WARNING: ZEROPOP GRADE ESTIMATES ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL GRADES. ALL DATA PROVIDED BY ZEROPOP IS A BEST GUESS AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON AS FACT.

The following are all estimates and are not guaranteed to be accurate:

  • Overall grades and sub-grades (corners, edges, surface, centering)
  • PSA, BGS, and CGC grade predictions
  • Centering ratios and centering eligibility
  • Defect detection and defect mapping
  • Market pricing and card values
  • Portfolio values and gain/loss calculations
  • Return on investment (ROI) calculations
  • Card identification (name, set, number, variant)

None of this data is guaranteed to be accurate. Actual professional grades, card values, and market conditions may differ significantly from ZeroPop's estimates.

Assumption of Risk

By using ZeroPop, you expressly assume all risk associated with any financial decisions you make based on data provided by ZeroPop. This includes, but is not limited to, decisions to buy, sell, trade, hold, or submit cards for professional grading. Hanlon Digital LLC is not a financial advisor and does not provide financial advice.

Trademark Attribution

ZeroPop references third-party grading standards and card game brands for informational purposes only:

  • PSA is a trademark of Collectors Universe, Inc.
  • BGS and Beckett are trademarks of Beckett Collectibles LLC.
  • CGC is a trademark of Certified Collectibles Group, LLC.
  • Pokemon is a trademark of The Pokemon Company.
  • Magic: The Gathering is a trademark of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
  • Yu-Gi-Oh! is a trademark of Konami Holdings Corporation.

ZeroPop is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these companies. All grade references to PSA, BGS, and CGC scales are estimates only and do not represent actual grades from those organizations.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use ZeroPop only for its intended purpose of scanning and grading trading cards. You may not:

  • Upload images that are not trading cards or contain inappropriate, illegal, or harmful content.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble ZeroPop or its underlying technology.
  • Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to access ZeroPop or circumvent rate limits.
  • Circumvent scan limits, subscription restrictions, or any other usage controls.
  • Use ZeroPop to harass, abuse, or harm others.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute ZeroPop or its data.

Content Moderation & Banning

ZeroPop employs automated content moderation to ensure uploaded images are trading cards and do not contain inappropriate content.

  • Warning system — violations may result in warnings before further action is taken.
  • Permanent ban — we reserve the right to permanently ban any account at our sole discretion, with or without prior warning.
  • Loss of paid features — banned users lose access to all paid features immediately upon being banned.
  • Subscription billing continues — a ban does not automatically cancel your Apple App Store subscription. You must cancel your subscription through Apple to stop billing.
  • No refund — banned users are not entitled to a refund for any remaining subscription period.
  • Data retention — data for banned accounts is retained for 30 days following the ban and then permanently deleted.
  • Appeals — you may appeal a ban within 14 days by emailing zeropop@hanlon.digital.
  • Data deletion rights — banned users retain the right to request deletion of their data.

Intellectual Property

ZeroPop, including its design, code, branding, and grading algorithms, is the intellectual property of Hanlon Digital LLC. All rights are reserved.

Card images you upload remain your property. By uploading images to ZeroPop, you grant Hanlon Digital LLC a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and transmit those images solely for the purpose of providing cloud sync and grading analysis services.

Account Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time from within the app's settings. All data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms of Service.
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue ZeroPop (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice.

WARRANTY DISCLAIMER

ZEROPOP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. HANLON DIGITAL LLC DOES NOT WARRANT THAT ZEROPOP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY GRADES, ESTIMATES, VALUATIONS, OR OTHER DATA WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE. NO WARRANTY IS MADE REGARDING THE ACCURACY OF GRADE ESTIMATES, MARKET PRICING, CARD IDENTIFICATION, OR ANY OTHER DATA PROVIDED BY ZEROPOP.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, HANLON DIGITAL LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF ZEROPOP, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO HANLON DIGITAL LLC IN SUBSCRIPTION FEES DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hanlon Digital LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your use of ZeroPop.
  • Your violation of these Terms of Service.
  • Any financial decisions you make based on data provided by ZeroPop.
  • Your infringement of any third-party rights.

ARBITRATION & CLASS ACTION WAIVER

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms of Service or your use of ZeroPop shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.

Class action waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive your right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

Small claims exception: Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes within that court's jurisdiction.

30-day opt-out: You may opt out of this arbitration provision by sending written notice to zeropop@hanlon.digital within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Your notice must include your name, address, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration.

Service Availability

ZeroPop is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. ZeroPop relies on third-party services including Firebase, Google Cloud, Apple, and RevenueCat, which may experience outages or disruptions beyond our control.

We recommend exporting your collection data via CSV regularly as a backup.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

General Provisions

  • Severability — if any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
  • No waiver — our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
  • Assignment — you may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of ZeroPop after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
